Guests enjoyed sitting at the revolving carousel bar, pictured drinking 3.2 beers. Dils Adapted a Ford Model T motor to turn the carousel.


Ozzie Nelson and his band came to Parkersburg in 1934 to perform at the Coliseum. Most people remember Nelson for the 22-year run of the radio, and the television series Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet. Few know that in the 1930s, Nelson had his own band that performed in small towns across America. 


Famous big band leader Guy Lombardo (second from the left) came to Parkersburg in 1934 to perform at the Coliseum Ballroom. one of seven children of a musically minded tailor, Lombardo and his brothers began performing while still in school. he sold over 100 million records. Lombardo and his band traveled at least 6,000 miles a year, performing at colleges and in small towns across the country


Upstairs was the dance Floor and later was a Skating Rink.
