Greiner's Bakery first opened its doors to the public on May 20, 1934 at 811 Seventh Street Mr. A.  L. Greiner was the only baker and Mrs. Greiner served in the store waiting on customers. Seven and one half years later they had an annual payroll of around $32,000 with four trucks to serve the public. Having outgrown their facilities Mr. Greiner bought ground at 1915 Dudley Ave. and erected a 5,200 square feet building which they moved in to on July 5, 1941. Because of their progressive baking methods and wide acceptance by the public Greiner's Bakery has today increased their bakery to an area of 12,200 square feet.  They have three bakery stores conveniently located around the city first one is at 1915 Dudley Avenue. The second one is at 723  seventh Street and the third newly opened store located Ralph's Market in South Parkersburg. Greiner's Bakery has an annual payroll around $225,000 with nine trucks servicing the independent grocery stores of Parkersburg and the surrounding area. Circa 1963
