Harrison & Lena Buckley in the Carriage, born in the 1880s With their son, Dexter Buckley, Sr. --Dexter Lewis Buckley Sr, who served as a  Parkersburg Police Officer, Wood County Sheriff's department deputy, and a Justice  of the Peace in Wood County. He is the Father of D. L. BACK IN CUSTODY - Prison escapees Jack S. Hart, 37, right, and Thomas Burton, 33, are led 'from State Police headquarters at Parkersburg after their capture Sunday morning. Hart, a twice-convicted killer is led by Trooper D. L. Doak and Trooper D. S. Deak escorts Burton, a convicted rapist. The two officers made the apprehension on Route 47 in Ritchie County after an extensive manhunt in Wood, Ritchie and Pleasants counties. WEAPON RECOVERED -Lt. R. H. Miller of the State Police examines a sawed-off 12 gauge shotgun that was recovered Sunday morning with the arrest of Jack S. Hart, 37, and Thomas Burton, 33, two escapees from the state penitentiary at Moundsville. Hart, a twice-convicted murderer and Burton, a convicted rapist, were captured by State Police on Route 47 near the Ritchie County community of Macfarlan. They have been returned to the penitentiary from where they and 13 other inmates escaped last Wednesday evening. Only three remain at large.
