Harry Truman in Parkersburg. 1948, he was on a trip to Bolivar Missouri to dedicate a statue. the train went thru Parkersburg July 4th 1948 and again on July 6th 1948.

 

Two presidents, Romulo Gallegos of Venezuela and Harry S. Truman of the United States; will halt in Parkersburg at 3: 11 today aboard a special train enroute to Bolivar, Mo. for unveiling Monday of a statue of Simon Bolivar, "George Washington of Venezuela." Gallegos was photographed with Truman after the Venezuelan arrived in Washington from Caracus on Truman's plane, Independence. The president's special will stop here on the return trip at 12:14 p. m: Tuesday. 1948
